How to Play?

Black and White take turns placing stones on the 9×9 intersections. You are ⚫ Black and move first; the computer plays ⚪ White (with 5.5 komi).

Orthogonally adjacent same-color stones form a GROUP; its adjacent empty points are LIBERTIES. A group with zero liberties is captured and removed.

SUICIDE is illegal: you may not play a stone that leaves your own group with no liberties unless it captures enemy stones.

KO rule: when a single stone is captured and could be retaken at once, the immediate retake is forbidden — wait one move.

Two consecutive PASSes end the game — Chinese scoring: your stones + empty areas you fully surround; White adds 5.5 komi. Higher total wins. You may resign at any time.

Tip: keep your groups with liberties, put enemy groups in atari to capture; starting near the 3rd line from the edge is safe.
